5 months!

Lil' Jon is 5 months old... a week ago :)

Question of the month: Jonathan has little "I want Mom fits" when he has been away from me for over about an hour. It never happens when he is with me, but usually when he gets babysat, after about an hour he just

kind of freaks out - cries really hard to where it seems like something is really wrong and then as soon as

I walk in the door and hold him he is fine. I'm flattered ;) but it makes things really of hard if I need to go anywhere without him. Any suggestions or experience with this? Thanks :)

 

Jonathan is 3 months old!

Here is our 3 month update minus my forehead and the last few minutes that got cut off :)

A few things I forgot to mention:

1. Slobber! I always have a soggy shoulder from carrying him around. He has also mastered the art of slobber bubbles :) Love it.

2. His finger nails grow like weeds. I have to cut them every few days or he looks like he's been in a cat fight.

3. He has blisters on the back of both heals from kicking so much. He's pretty chill in this video but usually he kicks so much he will be all sweaty when I pick him up. I have to keep socks on him now because he was kicking his heals raw :(

2 months old

It's been a while :) Here is a 2 month update of what's going on with Jonathan lately! 

2 months!

We're Ready

Dear Baby Boy,

I just thought I'd let you know that we are all ready for your arrival. We've been workin' hard to make sure you have everything you need when you get here...

Here's Dad hanging some lanterns for your nursery

You and me organizing your tiny clothes (that are hard to fold)

We've got everything packed and ready to go to the hospital

Most of the bags are from meets back in the day. One was from regionals when I was 12 and one from Western Nationals when I was 18... and now they're filled with stuff for the hospital to have my first baby :)  Life flies by. Obviously the Monsters aren't for me... or you. 

So now we're all ready for ya and are just impatiently waiting. It's harder to wait now that we've got everything ready to go.

You have a place to sleep

You have a place to eat

You have a place to get changed

You have a place to get clean

... and a place to dry off

You have a place to play

And a place to chill ;)

Soon we'll have pics of all these things + you :)

Can't wait!

38 weeks

Getting closer! 9 days 'til my due date and 3 days 'til I'm "allowed" to have the baby (my family is all out of town until Sunday). Here's what's goin' on...

Nursery!

Dear Baby,

I forgot to tell you.... 

YOU HAVE A NAME! 

Dad and I made it official on Easter Sunday. We'd been debating between a couple names for a while and finally decided on one Easter morning on our way to church. I can't wait to tell everyone! Since it took us so long to pick one we are just going to make it a surprise once you're born. Hope you like it :) We do! 

We have a white board in our room that has been our name brainstorming station and now it just has your name on it really big :)
